NJ Woman, Mechanic Lover Killed By Carbon Monoxide: Cops

The woman and her mechanic lover were having sex in the garage, reports say.

A man arrived home in New Jersey Monday night to find his girlfriend and the mechanic she was having sex with dead after they were poisoned by carbon monoxide in the garage, according to authorities.

The 39-year-old woman, who reportedly was paying for work on her car by having sex with the 56-year-old mechanic, was found with the man while the vehicle was running at an apartment complex in Newark, according to authorities.

Police say they responded to the apartment complex at 18th and New Fairview avenues on a call of "sick or injured persons" just before 8:45 p.m.

Officers discovered the man and woman in the running vehicle inside the closed garage, and that both were pronounced dead at the scene. "This incident is under investigation, but appears to be accidental," Adams said.

The woman's boyfriend, Kahali Johnson, told ABC he found his girlfriend, Tameka Hargrave, after he smelled an odor of gas and went to investigate the source. Then he and police later discovered the bodies, according to nj.com and NBC4.
