NJ Transit Promotes Arts With Live Music Series In Stations (VIDEOS)

NJ Transit's "Music in Motion" concert series sets up performance spaces for local artists at its stations and terminals.

The “Music in Motion” concert series is back in swing, NJ Transit riders.

This season, the artsy initiative will set up musical performance spaces for local artists at the Hoboken Terminal Waiting Room, Secaucus Junction Rotunda and Penn Station New York 7th Avenue Concourse. Performances take place Monday thru Friday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., and will run until the end of August, NJ Transit officials stated.

“Music in Motion is a community-based initiative that allows local musicians to perform in NJ TRANSIT station facilities,” according to the agency. “These performing artists are offering their talents while customers get a glimpse of the region’s up-and-coming talent as they traverse major stations and terminals.”

This spring and summer’s lineup includes Karen Hardy, Chelsea Carlson, Sal Aversano, Joseph Frame, Jr., Amanda Rose Riley, Mike Oregano, Amy Beshara, Steve Gregoire, George Young, Kenny Cunningham, Frtiz Gunter, PrizeViolet, The Foxfires and Garrad Perry.
