North Jersey Event: ‘World Dog Expo’ Promises A Tail-Wagging Good Time

SECAUCUS, NJ — You could say this event is for the dogs, but you’d be barking to the choir.

The Meadowlands Expo Center in Secaucus will host the World Dog Expo, the “first-ever internationally focused dog expo,” from Friday, June 9 to Sunday, June 11.

According to a news release, the three-day event will “celebrate dogs everywhere,” and will include interactive events, booths and educational opportunities for pet care professionals and the general public.

The event will include multiple stages – both indoors and outdoors. Attractions include:

• Displays of dock diving, disc dog, fly ball and agility
• A breed showcase area
• Interactive treat and toy exhibits
• A “world championship grooming competition”
• Appearances from notable rescue and pit bull advocates such as Shorty Rossi aka “The Pit Boss” and Deirdre Franklin, the founder of Pinups for Pitbulls
• A performance from the Olate Dogs, winners of season seven of America’s Got Talent

Tickets to the World Dog Expo range from $24.95 for a one day pass and $59.95 for a three-day pass. The expo is free for children under 12.
