A video of an incident aboard a Spirit Airlines flight involving an unruly passenger – caught on video and spread via social media – has garnered thousands of views online since being posted Monday.

The video, posted by ViralHog, allegedly took place aboard a Spirit Airlines flight from Orlando, Florida to Newark, New Jersey on March 27. Here’s how the uploader described the incident:

“I was on a Spirit Airlines flight to Newark. This passenger was intoxicated and upset. The flight attendant commented on turning off her mobile device and she got mad and started yelling.”

At one point during the woman’s expletive-filled rant, as other passengers hold up their phones to film the encounter, she yells “Yeah, record it all you f****** want!” Then she turns around and starts twerking, jiggling her posterior as a boorish chorus of jeers, claps and hoots rises like a dark cloud throughout the plane.

“Come fight me then, b****,” the woman taunts. “Do something… do something… do something.”

Despite other passengers’ cries for her to leave the plane, the woman then proceeds to put her luggage in the overhead compartment and take her seat, unaware that her emotional meltdown was about to become a viral video.

After the social media shaming began online, at least one person cautioned that there may be more than meets the eye to what took place aboard the plane that day… especially when seen in the narrow time frame of a two-minute YouTube video.

“I almost feel sorry for her,” a commenter wrote. “She… misbehaved and will always be on YouTube.”
