Paterson Man, 30, Dies In Newark Shooting: Authorities
No arrests have been made as of Tuesday. An investigation is ongoing, authorities said.
NEWARK, NJ — A shooting in Newark claimed the life of a 30-year-old Paterson resident earlier this week, authorities announced Tuesday.
Dashon S. Ragland, 30, of Paterson, was shot on the 900-block of Frelinghuysen Avenue in Newark at 5:37 p.m. on Sunday, according to a joint statement from the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office and the Newark Department of Public Safety.
He was transported to University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 5:58 p.m., authorities said.
