What caused the delays? Ugly weather, a spokesperson told Patch.
"As that portion of the system is not underground, icy and snowy conditions can impact service and require delays or temporary suspensions for safe operation," a spokesperson said. "In this case, ice around the Dock Bridge required service modifications."
The Port Authority has resumed running Newark to WTC service, which has been single-tracked with 20-minute headways.
03:54 PM: NWK-WTC service is operating on a 20-minute modified schedule due to weather-related conditions. Updates will be provided as they become available. We apologize for the inconvenience
