PHOTO: Authorities Seek Suspect In Fatal Newark Shooting
This man allegedly shot and killed a 16-year-old teen. Can you identify him?
Essex County and Newark police are seeking the public’s help locating a suspect in a fatal shooting that took place in Newark on Wednesday.
According to authorities:
At approximately 4:27 am at the Shell Gas Station located at 972 South Orange Ave, 16-year-old Jahkim U. Adams of Newark was shot multiple times, causing fatal injuries.

Adams was taken to University Hospital where he was pronounced dead at 4:46 am.
Attached is a photograph which captures an image of the lone shooter fleeing the scene, particularly his shirt. Anyone who can help identify the suspect is asked to contact the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office Homicide/Major Crimes Task Force tips line at 1-877-TIPS-4-EC or 1-877-847-7432.
