NEWARK, NJ — A group of frustrated pilots are the latest airline workers to picket at Newark Airport, a report says.
The pilots were seen picketing at the airport on Wednesday in connection with a contract proposal with United Airlines. One employee involved in the picket line told News 12 Brooklyn that they hope to encourage management to invest in their pilots. A proposed 14.5 percent cumulative pay increase, overtime and training pay hasn’t been enough to get them to stand down, the report said.
Newark Airport has also seen other recent actions and rallies involving airline employees, including flight attendants, lounge workers and cargo workers. Catch up with a few recent articles below (click headline to read).
