Police Shooting In Newark, But No Injuries: Officials
A New Jersey state trooper and a Newark detective were involved in a police shooting, but there were no injuries, authorities said.
NEWARK, NJ — A New Jersey state trooper and a Newark detective were involved in a police shooting on Tuesday, authorities said.
The shooting – which took place at 12:45 p.m. on the 100-block of Bergen Street – didn’t result in any known injuries, according to the Newark Department of Public Safety.
The suspects involved in the incident fled the area. An investigation continues in two areas near the shooting site, police said.

No additional information was immediately available. Newark police referred further questions to the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office.
