Police Probe Fatal Shooting At Bradley Court Complex In Newark

Authorities are investigating a shooting that claimed the life of a 21-year-old Newark resident.

NEWARK, NJ — Authorities are investigating a fatal shooting that took place in Newark on Sunday.

Rashidah Y. Sutton-Bryant, 21, of Newark was fatally shot at the Bradley Court Complex on North Munn Avenue at 10:22 p.m., the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office and Newark Public Safety Department said in a joint statement.

Sutton-Bryant was rushed to University Hospital, where she was pronounced dead at 10:58 p.m., authorities said.
