Port Authority Announces Easter Weekend DWI Checkpoints
Drivers will be subject to "random inspections" from police on April 14 and 15, Port Authority officials said.

Planning to have a few drinks and get behind the wheel this Easter weekend? You’d better think about the consequences of your actions, Port Authority of New York and New Jersey officials say.
As part of the Port Authority’s “commitment to ensuring the safety of the traveling public,” the Port Authority Police Department will conduct DWI checkpoints at its facilities from 10 p.m. on Friday, April 14, to 6 a.m. on Saturday, April 15, the agency announced Wednesday.
Patch reached out to the Port Authority for comment on which specific locations will be impacted, but didn't receive a reply as of Thursday. The Port Authority administers transit sites in New Jersey and New York including JFK, LaGuardia and Newark airports, the George Washington Bridge, the Lincoln Tunnel, the Holland Tunnel, the Port Authority Bus Terminal and the PATH rail system.

According to Port Authority officials, drivers will be subject to “random inspection" during the checkpoints.
