Portugal Day In Newark: Lineup Of Events Planned For 2025

The Day of Portugal committee in Newark, New Jersey, is excited to announce the planned events for the 46th Day of Portugal celebrations, which will be held in the largest city in the state.

On February 19, a 'Meet and Greet' event will take place at Casa Seabra in Newark. During this event, the committee will outline the main points of an action plan for the upcoming 50th celebration of the Day of Portugal in 2029. Additionally, they will present the official program for the 46th Day of Portugal, scheduled for June 6, June 7 and June 8 this year.

Planned Events:

• April 5 - Fado Night at the Church of Our Lady of Fatima Ballroom
• April 11 - Presentation for the Day of Portugal at Peter Francisco Park
• May 1 - Portugal Day Gala at Casa Seabra
• May 17 - Folk Festival at Ironbound Stadium
• May 31 - Hoisting of the Portuguese Flag at Newark City Hall
• June 4 - Day of Portugal Mass at Newark Cathedral
• June 6 - Festival at Peter Francisco Park
• June 7 – Festival at Peter Francisco Park
• June 8 – Track Races organized by Lar dos Leões
• June 8 - Portugal Ferry Street Grand Day Parade
• June 8 –Festival at Peter Francisco Park
