Prisoner Escapes From Newark Hospital On Wednesday
Three inmates have escaped from University Hospital in six months.

He escaped via the bathroom.
On Wednesday morning, Michael Majette, 40, of East Orange, an inmate in Newark Police Department custody, gave officers the slip when he escaped via an unseen door in a University Hospital bathroom.
Majette - who is reportedly facing charges that include robbery and unlawful possession of a weapon - was taken to the hospital after complaining of knee pain, NJ.com stated.

His escape marks the third time an inmate has escaped from Newark police custody at the hospital in the past six months.

The two officers assigned to guard Majette have been suspended indefinitely without pay, police stated.
