“In a national day of action, students and survivors of gun violence from around the country have organized over 400 local marches, from Fairbanks, Alaska, to Belfast, Maine, to Mission, Texas. On March 24, communities large and small will come together, calling on legislators to pass common sense gun safety legislation, and make the lives of America’s students their #1 priority.”
“For too long, gun violence has plagued our schools and communities and it’s time for our nation’s leaders to take meaningful action,” said Shannon Watts, founder of Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America.
“We’re working to make sure that everyone can attend a march – whether it’s in DC or in their local community,” Watts said.
