PSEG Has 500 Open Jobs In Newark; ‘Clean Energy’ Fuels Hiring Push
The hiring push is partly fueled by the company's "clean energy" goals, which align with those of state officials, PSEG said.
NEWARK, NJ — New Jersey’s largest gas and electric delivery public utility, PSE&G, is looking to fill more than 500 open positions in Newark.
According to PSE&G, it is hiring for 535 jobs in Newark, where it has a headquarters (see chart below). The positions the company is hiring for include both in-person and hybrid work. People can apply online at the company’s website.
The hiring push is partly fueled by the company’s “clean energy” goals, which align with those of state officials, a spokesperson told Patch.

“PSE&G is eager to support New Jersey’s clean energy goals, and as such we continue to invest billions over the next several years on projects such as energy efficiency, modernizing infrastructure and more – and we need a diverse, highly skilled workforce to get us there,” said Steve Fleisher, executive director of HR, DEI and Talent Acquisition at PSE&G Long Island.
“We are looking for employees across disciplines and lines of business – right now our hiring needs include a variety of roles such as engineers, training instructors at our nuclear facilities, and line workers,” Fleisher said.
