Puerto Rican Day Parade To Hold Music Fest At Branch Brook Park

A music festival that celebrates Puerto Rican culture is turning 60 this year at Branch Brook Park in Essex County.

ESSEX COUNTY, NJ — A music festival that celebrates Puerto Rican culture is turning 60 this year at Branch Brook Park in Essex County.

The park, which is located in Newark and Belleville, will be the site of the 2021 Puerto Rican Day Parade’s annual Boricua Music Festival on Sunday, Sept. 19. It will take place from 2 to 10 p.m. Learn more about the celebration here.

This year, the event will take place outdoors, and in lieu of a parade, will include a caravan kickoff that departs from the Puerto Rican Day Parade office at 201 Bloomfield Avenue in Newark at noon. Participants are encouraged to wear masks.
