A recent study from WalletHub, a financial information service provider, ranked Newark as the worst place to start a business in the nation.

The study ranked 150 large cities across the United States according to two weighted categories: “Access to resources” and “Business Environment.”

  • Least Educated Workforce – Ranked #146

Data sources included: the U.S. Census Bureau and U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, Indeed.com, the Kauffman Foundation, the Tax Foundation, the Council for Community and Economic Research, Thumbtack, LoopNet and the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation.
