Revival Of Nickelodeon’s ‘Double Dare’ Coming To New Jersey

NEWARK, NJ — A Slime-soaking, pie-plastering, booger-busting blast from the 1980s is coming to New Jersey: “Double Dare Live.”

The latest revival of the smash game show – one of the most-watched programs on Nickelodeon from 1986 to 1993 – is making a tour stop at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC) in Newark at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 15. Tickets go on sale Friday, Aug. 24, 2018. (Learn more here)

“The messiest game show on TV is now the messiest game show on the road. Double Dare Live is coming to your town and will bring all the action and excitement of Nickelodeon’s hugely popular TV show to the stage. All the Slime-soaking, pie-plastering and booger busting will be hosted by the Double Dare legend himself, Marc Summers. Bring your whole family to the show you loved as a child. You might even get chosen to compete to win by answering brain-bending trivia questions, complete messy physical stunts and even run the legendary obstacle course.”

Always dreamed of being a contestant on the show? If you’re at NJPAC on Nov.15, there’s a chance that things might get messy, according to the show’s website:

“Ticket buyers can register for a chance to participate on stage. If you are interested, we will begin accepting applications October 1. Return to this site to register electronically. Or, you can always register day of show at the theatre. You must be 18 years or older to fill out a waiver form. Only ticket holders with completed wavier forms will be considered for participation on stage.”

The show’s 2018-19 tour schedule also includes stops in Fayetteville, NC; Cincinnati, OH; Charlotte, NC; Baltimore, MD; Norfolk, VA; Milwaukee, WI; Indianapolis, IN; Nashville, TN; Rosemont, IL; Cleveland, OH; Harford, CT; Rochester, NY; Pittsburgh, PA.
