The tap master of Broadway’s Shuffle Along and Tony Award winner chronicles his performance history through photos, words, stories and rhythmic percussion.

In this intimate, unprecedented, storytelling piece, NJPAC Dance Advisor Savion Glover gives a summation of his art soul, as he masterfully introduces the audience to the forefathers and experiences that shaped his calling. A choreographer and legendary hoofer whose career has spanned four decades, Glover began his Broadway career as The Tap Dance Kid and continued with Black and Blue, Jelly’s Last Jam and Bring in ‘da Noise, Bring in ‘da Funk, which garnered him a Tony for Best Choreography.

Glover’s tap repertoires have toured worldwide and include Classical Savion, Solo in Time and Improvography, among others. He has worked with jazz legends such as McCoy Tyner, Roy Haynes and Jack DeJohnette. Some of his film credits are Tap, Bamboozled, Happy Feet and Happy Feet Two.
