Screening Of ‘The Godfather’ In Newark Will Include Live Orchestra

The event at NJPAC will feature a screening of Francis Ford Coppola's masterpiece – accompanied by a live performance of Nino Rota's score.

NEWARK, NJ — A new trend that pairs classic movies with a live symphony orchestra will be coming to Newark with a performance of “The Godfather Live” at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC) at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 16.

The event will feature a screening of Francis Ford Coppola's cinematic masterpiece accompanied by a live performance of Nino Rota’s iconic score, as played by the New Jersey Symphony. Learn more or purchase tickets here.

There will also be a performance at the Count Basie Center for the Arts in Red Bank on Sunday, Aug. 18 at 3 p.m.
