Search Continues For Missing NJ Girl Last Seen 8 Months Ago: Police

Police said the Newark teen has run away from home in the past. The search continues, authorities said Tuesday.

NEWARK, NJ — Newark police continue to search for a missing teenage girl who was last seen eight months ago, authorities said Tuesday.

According to the Newark Department of Public Safety, Aaliyah Bryant,17, of Newark, was reported missing on Aug. 30, 2023. She has run away from home in the past, authorities said.

Bryant was last seen on Aug. 29 on the 100-block of Chancellor Avenue in Newark, police said.

Police said Bryant is 5 feet 3 inches and 300 pounds with a light-brown skin complexion and blonde hair. She has a silver nose piercing and is reportedly diagnosed with Disruptive Mood Dysregulation Disorder (DMDD) and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). She was wearing a long white T-shirt and black leggings, and was carrying a cross-body bag.

Authorities said anyone with information can contact the Police Division’s 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477). Anonymous tips can also be made using the Police Division’s website.
