Search Renewed For Missing Essex County Woman; $5K Reward

ESSEX COUNTY, NJ — Authorities issued a renewed call to locate a missing Essex County woman on Friday, offering a $5,000 reward for information that helps to find her.

The Essex County Sheriff’s Office Crime Stoppers Program is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information regarding the disappearance of Venika Williams, 28, of Newark, who has been missing since Dec. 22, 2017.

“A renewed appeal is being issued at this time because the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office has taken over the investigation,” authorities said.

Williams was last seen in the area of Dewey Street in Newark. She is 5 feet 3 inches and approximately 140 pounds. (See photos below)
