A group of Ironbound supporters met recently at RiverFront Park to unveil the installation of tiles painted by local youths as part of a Friendship Staircase designed by local artist Maude LeMaire. The project, championed by the Ironbound Community Corporation (ICC) and advanced with the help of Damon Rich, landscape designer, MacArthur Fellow, and partner at HECTOR, an urban design, planning, and civic arts practice, received initial funding support from the Ironbound Business Improvement District (IBID).

Participating in the unveiling were (left to right) Nancy Zak, ICC, Vince Baglivo, IBID Executive Director, Joseph Rendeiro, former school principal, SPARK Friends of RiverBank Park member, Marcy DePina, Executive Director of Newark Riverfront Revival, Damon Rich, HECTOR, Lito Miranda, SPARK member, and Arnold Cohen, ICC.
