HS Students Can Earn Credits At Pillar College ‘Summer Accelerator’
Pillar College is offering an "education intensive" for high school students and recent grads at their Newark campus.
NEWARK, NJ — Pillar College is offering an “education intensive” from July 18 to 28 at their Newark campus located at 60 Park Place. The two-week Summer Accelerator program will focus on developing students’ abilities to think critically, write effectively, solve problems, engage digitally, and speak persuasively.
According to a news release from the college, the two-week session will have classes taking place on Monday to Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The free program includes an option for students to earn three college credits for a fee of $525 and fulfilling all the course requirements.

"The Summer Accelerator Program is a unique opportunity for high school juniors, seniors, or recent high school graduates to develop critical skills to enhance their academic abilities and life skills in addition to getting a jump start on their college journey," said Amy Huber, Pillar College vice president of academic affairs and student engagement.
To qualify for the program, a student must be a New Jersey resident, a high school junior, senior or recent graduate with a minimum GPA of 2.0.
