Summit Woman, 28, Fatally Stabbed In Newark: Police

A Summit resident was stabbed to death in Newark. No arrests have been made as of Friday, authorities said.

NEWARK, NJ — A Summit resident was stabbed to death in Newark early Friday morning, authorities said.

Newark police found Angelika K. Miles, 28, of Summit, suffering from stab wounds at 3:45 a.m. on the 500-block of Ferry Street. Miles was transported to University Hospital, where she was pronounced dead at 4:42 a.m., according to a joint statement from the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office and the Newark Department of Public Safety.

The Essex County Prosecutor’s Office Homicide/Major Crimes Task Force, which includes detectives from the Newark Police Department, is investigating the stabbing. No arrests have been made as of Friday, authorities said.
