THE SYDNEY FUND-AN ANIMAL WELLNESS FOUNDATION Established in New Jersey

HELP US-HELP THEM - DONATIONS NEEDED

Wyckoff, NJ, May 16, 2016– The Sydney Fund -An Animal Wellness Foundation was established in New Jersey in 2016. The Sydney Fund helps low-income families, individuals, and seniors meet the medical expenses of their pets. Each year companion pets are destroyed, abandoned, or relinquished because it is too expensive to care for their medical needs. With the help of this non-profit organization people will be assisted in keeping their pets in their loving homes.

The Sydney Fund emerged after the founder’s beloved dog (Sydney) became debilitated by illnesses which became very costly. Sydney received all the medical care needed, but it became obvious that this kind of care would be impossible for lower-income families, individuals, and seniors on fixed incomes.

The Sydney Fund will help provide grants for medical care to individuals or families through an application process. A medical facility’s charges will be submitted to the Sydney Fund, with a description of the emergency medical diagnosis, and applications will be selected for funding based on immediate need, and the financial status of the applicant.

Animals will be sponsored at “no kill shelters” who are in urgent medical care, and due to the costs of the diagnosis, cannot be completely funded by the shelter. This will also be done by application submitted by the shelter for individual animals in need.

The Sydney Fund will help to fund spay, neuter, and vaccination programs, in New Jersey, to help promote animal wellness. This will be done through programs that already exist in local towns, and by local shelters. Public relations and marketing support will be provided to help notify the citizens of the towns of the program.
