Teenage Victim Killed In Essex County Shooting, Police Investigation Continues
The fatal shooting took place on a busy street in New Jersey's largest city.
NEWARK, NJ — A teenage victim died in a shooting on the 700-block of Broad Street in Newark on Monday night, authorities say.
According to the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office, police responded to the site of the fatal shooting at 8:12 p.m.
The victim, Naim Brewer, 18, of Newark, sustained multiple gunshot wounds. He was taken to University Hospital and pronounced dead at 9:14 p.m.
