Temporary Ground Stop At Newark Airport Causes Delays
Some flights at Newark Airport saw 45-minute delays Wednesday morning, authorities reported.
NEWARK, NJ — A temporary ground stop and gate hold caused delays for some flights at Newark Liberty International Airport on Wednesday, authorities reported.
Some affected flights saw delays up to 45 minutes Wednesday morning. Prior general departure delays were lifted around 11:15 a.m., according to airport officials.
As of 11:30 a.m., no destination-specific delays were being reported. Departing flights were experiencing gate hold and taxi delays lasting 15 minutes or less, and arriving traffic was experiencing airborne delays of 15 minutes or less, the FAA stated.
