Tis the Season: Clara Maass Medical Center Auxiliary Hosts Tree Lighting and Pre-Hanukkah Celebration December 13

Members of the Clara Maass Medical Center Auxiliary aim to brighten up the holiday season with their Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony & Pre-Hanukkah Celebration, a festive annual fundraiser.

The general public is invited to join the medical staff, employees and volunteers of Clara Maass Medical Center for the ceremonial lighting of a holiday tree and a pre-Hanukkah celebration in the hospital lobby. This signature fundraiser, hosted by Clara Maass Auxiliary and now in its 24th year, will begin Tuesday, December 13 at 4:30 p.m., followed by refreshments in the Cancer Center Conference Room.

“We are thrilled to be able to host this successful and festive event again this holiday season,” says Angela Cuozzo-Zarro, President of the Clara Maass Medical Center Auxiliary. “We’re looking forward to celebrating loved ones past and present, and honoring the hard work and dedication of the talented Clara Maass medical professionals.”

Well-wishers can purchase a seasonal and colorful ornament from the Auxiliary in honor of someone special to them. The options for the holiday tree include: a White Light for $5; a Multi-Colored Light for $25; a Snowflake Ornament for $125; and a Treetop Ornament for $500. All proceeds benefit the programs and services offered by Clara Maass Medical Center. This year, contributions can be made toward the Pre-Hanukkah Celebration: Dreidel for $5; Menorah Candle for $25; Shamash Candle for $125; and a Star of David for $500. The names provided by donors, either in memory of or in honor of, will be displayed on a poster at the event.
