Tool Celebrates 1st Album In 13 Years, Will Play Show In Newark

NEWARK, NJ — It’s been 13, long years, but inimitable rockers Tool finally have a new album.

The band will be supporting their long-awaited album, “Fear Inoculum,” with a nationwide tour that includes a stop at the Prudential Center in Newark on Saturday, Nov. 16.

Tickets, priced at $65, $95, $150, $199 (fees apply) go on sale at 10 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 6 at Ticketmaster.com. There is a limit of four tickets per order. Tickets will also be available in person at Prudential Center Box Office at 11 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 9 should inventory remain.

The Prudential Center released the following background info on the band, which includes Danny Carey (drums), Justin Chancellor (bass), Adam Jones (guitar) and Maynard James Keenan (vocals):

“Tool formed in 1990, releasing four multi-platinum studio albums: Undertow (1993), Ænima (1996), Lateralus (2001) and 10,000 Days (2006); two EPs: 72826 (1991) and Opiate (1992) and the limited-edition boxset Salival (2000). The band has won three Grammy Awards: Best Metal Performance (1998, “Ænima”), Best Metal Performance (2002, “Schism”) and Best Recording Package (2007, 10,000 Days).”
