Tractor Trailer Catches Fire At Port Newark
A tractor trailer fire at Port Newark torched a vehicle but didn't cause any injuries or disrupt port operations, authorities say.

NEWARK, NJ — A tractor trailer fire at Port Newark on Tuesday torched a vehicle but didn’t cause any injuries or disrupt port operations, authorities say.
According to the Port Authority of NY/NJ, a tractor trailer fire took place around 5:20 p.m. at 142 Marsh Street in Port Newark. Newark firefighters responded to the scene and managed to extinguish the flames at 5:45 p.m., with Port Authority Police re-routing traffic during the fire.
The trailer was carrying an empty shipping container at the time of the fire, authorities said.
