Benjamin (Ben) is a mogul by way of East Orange, NJ. At the young age of just 37, this innovative, consistent, and successful business owner of a technology company and cigar lounge (Stikz Cigar Lounge) is a force to be reckoned with. Ben is educated from both Essex County College and Rutgers University, Newark, NJ Campus. Currently, he is enrolled at Thomas Edison University to further his studies in a quest to enhance his knowledge to gain insight on Business and Urban Studies. He also, works in the community as a law enforcement officer. In 2018, Ben wanted to make his community better, so he knew that he had to get involved, to be the change that he wanted to see. Therefore, he put boots on the ground and he volunteered his time with East Orange’s “Pop Warner,” football and basketball programs. In addition, he teamed up with the local “Urban League” chapter to help local children attend college fairs.
Ben started a non-profit organization called “Stikz & Stonz Community Development Group (SSCDG),” which is dedicated to improving the quality of life in the community. SSCDG host various programs in the community such as; toy drives, college fairs, and scholarship events. The thing that sets Ben apart from other leaders in the community is that he does things behind the scenes. Ben is more interested in results and change as opposed to recognition and image. He lives in the first ward of East Orange, NJ and has a lovely wife of nine years, who also works in the community. Together they have four beautiful children who attend the public schools in the community, that he loves. Ben’s favorite quote is, “don’t talk about it, be about it.” Be on the lookout for Benjamin Johnson, because he is just getting started.
