United Way of Essex & West Hudson Hosts Power of the Purse Event

United Way of Essex & West Hudson to host “Power of the Purse” Event, featuring Tiffany “The Budgetnista” Aliche

On Thursday, November 16, 2017, United Way of Essex & West Hudson will host its “Power of the Purse” event at the Wilshire Grand Hotel in West Orange, New Jersey. Power of the Purse is an opportunity to connect with a diverse, dynamic and dedicated network of women and community leaders at an exclusive event for Women United of Essex & West Hudson. This event is all about women demonstrating the powerful impact they can make when they combine their individual talents and resources. This special luncheon and silent auction will leverage the Power of the Purse in order to fundraise for the Financial Empowerment Center (FEC) of United Way of Essex & West Hudson. Through the United Way of Essex & West Hudson’s FEC, residents can gain access to resources and supports that will help them take control of their financial well-being; build savings to weather financial emergencies; and invest in their financial futures. Some of the FEC’s free service offerings include: Free income tax filing assistance, Financial/Credit counseling, financial literacy classes, financial aid assistance, and more.

The Power of the Purse event will include special luncheon and silent auction, with auction items ranging from exotic vacation getaways to high end purses. The event also includes a special keynote address by "The Budgetnista" Aliche. Tiffany “The Budgetnista” Aliche is an award-winning teacher of financial empowerment and has quickly become one of America's favorite, personal financial educators. Since 2008, The Budgetnista has been a brand ambassador and spokesperson for a number of organizations - delivering financial education through seminars, workshops, curricula and trainings.
