University Hospital Worker Earns ‘Nurse Of Year’ Award In Newark
A nurse at University Hospital in Newark earned a well-deserved nod as a 2018 "New Jersey Nurse of the Year" by the March of Dimes.

NEWARK, NJ — A nurse at University Hospital in Newark has earned a well-deserved nod as a 2018 “New Jersey Nurse of the Year” by the March of Dimes.
Earlier this week, Lynda Arnold-Davis was presented with a “Nurse Leader” award by the nonprofit for providing exceptional health care service to her community.
“Whether serving as health care provider, educator, researcher and/or advisor – nurses play a critical role in advancing the March of Dimes mission to fight for the health of every mom and baby,” the iconic nonprofit stated. “The Nurse of the Year initiative supports this mission while recognizing exceptional nurses throughout the state and celebrating the profession.”

University Hospital administrators congratulated Arnold-Davis on her award.
“Mrs. Davis exemplifies an extraordinary level of patient care, compassion and customer service in the labor and delivery unit… way to go,” administrators wrote.
