NEWARK, NJ — It won’t be long before Democrats and Republicans in New Jersey will get a chance to select their candidates for the general election in November. And a Newark-based advocacy group wants to make sure that Brick City residents have the info they need to make their vote count in the 2023 primary election.

In an effort to boost voter turnout, Project Ready recently released a list of frequently asked questions ahead of the primary election, which will take place on Tuesday, June 6. Learn more on their website.

In New Jersey, there are three ways you can vote, the group noted:

  1. Vote by mail: Ballots must be postmarked, delivered in person to the County Board of Elections Office, or placed in a secure ballot drop box by June 6 at 8 p.m. Click here to find a ballot dropbox location.
  2. In person early voting: All registered voters have the option to vote at ANY early voting location in the county from June 2 to June 4. Find early voting by clicking here.
