WATCH: New Video Shows NJ Transit Bus Run Red Light Before Fatal Crash
Authorities have released a new video of a fatal "T-bone" crash that took place between two NJ Transit passenger buses in August.
NEWARK, NJ — Authorities have released a video of a fatal “T-bone” crash that took place between two NJ Transit passenger buses in August which apparently shows one driver run a red light prior to the collision.
The tragic crash occurred at the intersection of Broad Street and Raymond Boulevard in Newark when the 59 line to Westfield collided with the 13 bus that was traveling from Irvington to Belleville, the Essex County Prosecutor's Office previously stated.
Two people were killed and 17 others were injured, authorities said. Police are conducting an ongoing investigation into the incident.

On Friday, NJ.com posted a video acquired via an Open Public Records Act request that shows surveillance camera footage of the Newark intersection before and after the crash.
According to NJ.com, the light on Raymond Boulevard was red for 34 seconds before the No. 59 bus entered the intersection at Broad Street.
