WATCH: Newark Mayor Courts Chinese Investors
Newark Mayor Ras Baraka is asking Chinese businesses to set up shop in the city.

NEWARK, NJ — Newark Mayor Ras Baraka has a message for international Chinese investors… the city wants you here.
On Friday, Baraka released a promotional video aimed at attracting Chinese investment, touting the city’s location to the New York metropolitan area, its airport and seaport, thousands of local businesses and a growing base of 50,000 college students “looking for places to live and recreate.”

Baraka also touted the city’s position right next to Manhattan and said that Newark is the “next logical step for development in this region.”
