Water Main Break Impacts Traffic In Newark, Repairs Will Continue
Repairs will last until midnight, Newark public safety officials reported Thursday.
NEWARK, NJ — A water main break took place in Newark on Thursday. It is expected to impact traffic in the area until late tonight, authorities said.
According to a message sent at 12:37 p.m., repairs to the break – which took place on the 400-block of Broad Street – will continue until midnight.
The water main break closed northbound and southbound lanes of the road. Drivers are advised to anticipate delays and to plan alternate routes, the Newark Department of Public Safety said.
