NEWARK, NJ — Several people accused of assault and other violent crimes have been arrested in Newark so far this month, police say.

The Newark Department of Public Safety announced a new round of warrant arrests on Thursday.

Newark Public Safety Director Emanuel Miranda Sr. commended the Newark Fugitive Apprehension Team, SWAT and University Hospital Medical Services for their help in the latest round of arrests, which included:

  • Juan Naranjo, 41, of Newark, was arrested on February 7, 2025. He was wanted for terroristic threats and domestic violence-related simple assault.
  • Frederic Masucci, 33, of Newark, was arrested on February 12, 2025. He was being sought for aggravated assault and domestic violence-related simple assault.
  • Jada Warnock, 20, of Newark, was arrested on February 10, 2025. She faces charges of aggravated assault, unlawful possession of a weapon, burglary, and criminal mischief.
  • Bryan A. Marin Cabanilla, 28, of Newark, was arrested on February 11, 2025. He was being sought on charges of aggravated assault and weapon possession.
  • Naeem L. Holley, 41, of Newark, was arrested on February 7, 2025. Holley was wanted for aggravated assault, domestic violence terroristic threats, simple assault, and unlawful possession of a weapon.
  • Alexis D. Santiago, 25, of Newark, was arrested on February 11, 2025. He was being sought for aggravated assault and weapon possession.
  • Daishaun Mercer, 24, of Newark, was arrested on February 12, 2025. He was wanted for terroristic threats and two counts of simple assault.
  • Taquee N. Saunders, 19, of Newark, was wanted for robbery, conspiracy, weapon possession, and credit card theft. He was arrested on February 11, 2025.
  • Fritzner Pierristil, 40, of Newark, was arrested on February 12, 2025. He faces charges of domestic violence aggravated assault, unlawful possession of a weapon, and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose.
  • Juan Dennis, 63, of Newark, faces charges of aggravated assault, simple assault, and domestic violence-related terroristic threats after being arrested on February 13, 2025.
  • Tylique D. Minter, 35, of New York City, was arrested on February 12, 2025. He was being sought for domestic violence aggravated assault.
