Weather Causes Newark Airport Delays: Wednesday

Rainy weather and low ceilings caused flight delays at Newark Liberty International Airport on Tuesday night and Wednesday morning, according to authorities.
Weather-related disruptions were first reported on Tuesday around 8:52 p.m., according to a Port Authority of NY/NJ alert:
“Weather conditions at EWR Airport have caused flight disruptions. Please check with your airline to determine the status of your flight.”

The weather caused some arriving flights at Newark Airport to be delayed on Wednesday by an average of two hours and 24 minutes, according to a FAA Air Traffic Control System Command Center alert.
