West Side High School In Newark Opens New Student Business Center

NEWARK, NJ — A new “student business center” recently opened at West Side High School in Newark.
The Newark Public School District celebrated the grand opening of the new center last week. The “cutting-edge facility” will serve as a hub for students to pitch their business ideas, host meetings and engage in collaborative projects.
The Student Business Center will also offer a range of resources and support services to students, including mentorship programs, access to industry partners/experts and networking opportunities.

“Equipped with modern amenities and technology, the Student Business Center is poised to help students turn their entrepreneurial aspirations into reality,” the Newark Board of Education stated in a news release.
Board President Hasani Council and Superintendent Roger León both applauded the opening of the new center.

“The unveiling of the Student Business Center marks a key moment for West Side High School’s Business and Finance Academy, and of course, its incredible students,” León said. “This innovative space will not only provide a platform for cultivating entrepreneurial skills but also foster a culture of collaboration and creativity.”
