Woman Hospitalized After Shooting In Newark; Investigation Continues
A woman is in stable condition after being shot in Newark on Tuesday afternoon, police said.
NEWARK, NJ -- A woman is in stable condition after being shot in Newark on Tuesday afternoon, police said.
According to the Newark Department of Public Safety, officers responded to the area of Norfolk Street and Sussex Avenue at 3:26 p.m. after getting a report about gunfire.
The officers found a woman with a gunshot wound at the scene. Emergency responders transported her to University Hospital, where she is reportedly in stable condition, authorities said.
