Young Man Fatally Shot In East Orange
Authorities have labeled the incident a "shooting homicide."
An 18-year-old man was killed by gunfire in East Orange on Saturday on Dodd Street, authorities reported.
After being flagged down by bystanders around 9:40 p.m., police discovered Sharod T. Jefferson, of East Orange, unresponsive and lying on the lawn.
Police transported Jefferson to University Hospital in Newark, where he was pronounced dead at 10:08 a.m.
