2 Men, 1 Woman Shot Outside New Brunswick Bar, Local Man Charged

A New Brunswick man has been charged with shooting one woman and two men in front of Los Amigos bar last Saturday night.

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ — A New Brunswick man has been charged with shooting one woman and two men in front of Los Amigos bar in the city last Saturday night, July 16.

Jhamir Hoagland, 22, was taken into police custody and charged Thursday. This was not a random act, said the Middlesex County Prosecutor.

At 2:43 a.m. last Saturday, police responded to the area of 142 Remsen Avenue near Los Amigos Bar following the report of a shooting.

Upon arrival, officers located one woman and two men who had each sustained a gunshot wound.

The victims were transported to a nearby hospital where they were treated for their injuries. All three survived.

Hoagland has been charged with one count of first-degree conspiracy to commit murder, three counts of first-degree attempted murder and one count of second-degree possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose. He is presently at the Middlesex County jail.
