A 32-Year-Old Middlesex County Woman Is Contender For Trip to Mars
More than 200,000 people applied for a chance to live on Mars, but the list is now down to 100 people, according to a published report.

A 32-year-old Woodbridge woman is on the 100-name-long short list to go to Mars, 1010 WINS is reporting.
More than 200,000 people worldwide applied to be part of a the Mars One mission, planned by a Dutch foundation, and that list has been narrowed down to 100 people, including Cassandra Morphy, 32, of the Keasbey section of town, the radio station reported.
On her Twitter feed, she describes herself as a “data analyst, sci fi writer and all-around geek.” She says she’s a candidate to go to Mars in 2024.

“Yes, really going in real life,’’ she wrote.
The 50 men and 50 women were selected Monday . The list will eventually be cut to 24 people for the one-way trip.
