$803,286 Winning Lottery Ticket Sold In New Brunswick

Rutgers students, check your tickets: It was sold at Peter's Liquors, a favorite among the 21+ crowd.

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ-- Someone in the New Brunswick area had a very, very good day on Monday: the winning Cash 5 lottery ticket was sold at the Rutgers go-to, Peter's Liquor. The prize? $803,286.

“We are thrilled that the winning jackpot ticket was sold at Peter’s Liquors Inc.,” Executive Director Carole Hedinger said. “The retailer will receive a bonus check for $2,000 for selling the winning ticket. Overnight, they have become one more ‘lucky location’ for the very fortunate lottery winner.”

Peter's Liquor, located at 217 Easton Ave, is a go-to spot for College Ave Rutgers students to pick up beer and liquor on their way to friend's houses.

The owner of the ticket has not yet come forward. If you've recently purchased a ticket at Peter's Liquor and are hoping this article is about you, the winning numbers were: 06, 07, 12, 35 and 36 the XTRA number was: 05.
