BRIDGEWATER, NJ — A Piscataway man was killed in a car accident Saturday night in Bridgewater, said Somerset County Prosecutor John McDonald.
The fatal accident occurred in the area of Finderne Avenue near the intersection of Van Veghten Drive at about 9:41 p.m.
Bridgewater Police responded for a 911 call of a car crash. Upon arrival, officers observed a two-car accident involving a Honda and a Kia, which was driven by a Piscataway man.
Of the two drivers, the Kia driver was more critically injured, and he was taken to a local trauma hospital where he later died of his injuries.
The man had a front-seat passenger and two rear passengers in the Kia; their injuries were not life threatening.
An accident reconstruction is currently underway, and more information will be released pending the results of the Collision Analysis Reconstruction Team’s findings, said the Somerset County Prosecutor.
