NORTH BRUNSWICK, NJ — Dogtopia, a dog daycare, boarding and grooming business, signed a lease to open on Rt. 1 in North Brunswick.
Dogtopia will open at Brunswick Shopping Center off Rt. 1 south (498 Milltown Road), the shopping center that houses Lidl supermarket, LA Fitness, plus a Dollar Tree, Ace Pickleball Club, Namkeen Hot Chicken, Boost Mobile and Tropical Smoothie Cafe.
Dogtopia will open a 5,081-square-foot dog daycare, boarding and doggie spa business.
However, it likely won't open until spring 2027, said a representative from Levin Management Corporation, the shopping center's leasing and managing agent.
When it does open, Dogtopia says it will offer award-winning daycare, overnight boarding and spa services, "built around the principles of safe socialization, exercise and education."
The North Brunswick location "will feature climate-controlled indoor playrooms where dogs are grouped by size, temperament and play style, along with overnight boarding, spa services and live webcams that allow pet parents to check in throughout the day."
"Dogtopia is an excellent addition to Brunswick Shopping Center because it complements our existing tenant mix while expanding the property's everyday service offerings," said Fred Younkin, leasing representative with Levin Management Corporation." Together with our recent leasing activity, this addition reflects the continued strength of Brunswick Shopping Center and our commitment to creating a destination that serves the surrounding community."
The Dogtopia lease was negotiated by Fred Younkin, leasing representative with LMC, representing ownership. Jonathan Spoerl and Grace Daniels of Metro Commercial Real Estate represented the tenant.
