Cedar Hill Prep's House Leadership Drives Impactful Community Service

Somerset, April 22, 2024 — Every year, Cedar Hill Prep School's House Leadership embarks on a journey to uplift communities through impactful initiatives. This year, their dedication shone brightly as they partnered with a non-profit service-based organization catering to families in need from Plainfield, NJ, and neighboring areas.

The Cedar Hill Prep (CHP) House Leadership team orchestrated a comprehensive food drive, rallying the entire CHP community around the cause. Through meticulous planning and execution, they collected non-perishable staple food items to craft 100 essential bags, supplemented by additional canned foods generously donated by students and families.

From the initial promotion through captivating videos and informative flyers to the seamless organization facilitated by a meticulously crafted spreadsheet, the House Leadership team demonstrated unwavering commitment every step of the way.

In a heartwarming display of unity and empathy, middle school students, under the guidance of the House Leadership team, diligently sorted and assembled the donations. Each of the four Houses at CHP proudly contributed 25 bags, culminating in a profound demonstration of solidarity and compassion.

The pinnacle of this endeavor was the actual donation on-site, an experience described by students and parents alike as "eye-opening" and "life-changing." The opportunity to directly impact the lives of those in need proved profoundly humbling, leaving a lasting impression on all involved.
