Coalition To Hold Event In New Brunswick, Calling For "$15 Living Wage"
Groups involved in the "Fight For $15" movement will gather Wednesday at the Rutgers Labor Education Center, a news release said.

A coalition of low-wage workers, students, and members of community and labor organizations will come together in New Brunswick Wednesday to “demand a $15 living wage and union rights for all.”
Wednesday is a day of action in the “Fight For $15” movement, and in New Jersey, events are planned in New Brunswick, Newark, Camden, Parsippany and Atlantic City, according to a news release from a healthcare labor union.
That union, 1199SEIU United Healthcare Workers East, will host the event Wednesday, from 4 to 5:30 p.m. at the Rutgers Labor Education Center, 50 Labor Center Way in New Brunswick.

Assemblywoman Sheila Oliver, and workers employed in various jobs, including healthcare and the fast food industry, are expected to speak at the program.
The groups plan to “launch a New Jersey coalition demanding a $15 living wage and union rights for all,’’ the news release said.
